Opening night of the festival
As a nod to the origins of the Aéropostale, Tangopostale chose to organise its opening night in an amazing setting: Aeroscopia, the aeronautics museum in Toulouse-Blagnac. Let’s take this time machine and fly to Argentina! Are you ready to take off?
7pm: Welcome reception in an aero-tango atmosphere!
8 – 8:20pm: tango demonstration
8:20 – 9:20pm: introduction to tango followed by a beginners mini-ball
9:20 – 10:40pm: Camaléon, musical show (piano, guitar, percussions, singing & dance).
10:40pm – 3am: Milonga de la aviación, big Argentine ball with DJ BYC Bernardo.
Camaleón (Cie Meta-Tango) showcases popular music from the Rio de la Plata, Argentina and Uruguay in an atypical way thanks to jazzy influences and to the unique personality of all the musicians and dancers. The creator of Camaleón, Maria Belén, sings and dances. As a true modern musical, this romantic show evokes the colours of love and makes us travel among Latin-American countries' legends, rituals and beliefs. The characters go through large expanses from the pampas to the Andes Mountains, making a stop in a milonga or a boliche in Buenos Aires. You will be transported to many different places...
DJ BYC Bernardo
Frequently invited to Tangopostale festival, DJ BYC Bernardo will open Tangopostale 2017 and close the edition by hosting the despedida as a DJ-VJ !
BYC Bernardo regularly hosts European milongas, festivals and encuentros milongueros. He developed a style completely devoted to the dancers’ pleasure in a porteño spirit, acquired during his twelve trips to Buenos Aires, to which he adds a personal touch and a bit of creativity.
He creates his tandas on the spot, following the mood of its public. His strong point: he always adapts himself in order to create the best ambiance as possible!
Event organised in partnership with Aeroscopia, the aeronautics museum of Toulouse-Blagnac.
