Tango Sonos (Italy)
2 rooms, 2 styles and an outdoor dance floor of 200m²! After party starting at 3 am!
Tango demonstration by Roque Castellano and Giselle Gatica Luján.
Two brothers. A bandoneon and a piano. The power and the energy of this duo give yet the illusion of an entire orchestra!
Antonio and Nicola Ippolito perform in concert halls and tango festivals all over Europe. They work with the best dancers (Miguel Angel Zotto & Daiana Guspero, Sebastian Arce & Mariana Montes, Neri Piliu & Yanina Quiñones, Pablo Moyano & Roberta Beccarini, Leo Calvelli & Eugenia Usandivaras) and with internationally renowned actors and directors (Lindsay Kemp, Sebastiano Lo Monaco, Arnoldo Foà, Nestor Saied). Since 2015, they are part of the famous Miguel Angel Zotto Tango x2 company.
The evening will continue with DJ Benoît Le Rouge (traditional / main room) and OtrosTangos (alternative / room 2).
Benoît le RougeBenoît le Rouge plays a music centered on fast rythms, mainly drawn from the huge Argentine tango repertoire. He has at his disposal many unreleased songs restored by his own means, and he loves to associate videos to the ball whenever possible. For him, the ball is a social moment that can be animated with homogeneous tandas. By varying a lot between the tandas (color, mood, period and rythm) Benoît le Rouge creates surprise and accompanies the dancers towards new horizons.
The OtrosTangos team was created at the end of 2015 so to organise alternative performances (milongas, workshops...) for the festival Tangopostale. It gathers local DJs interested in the alternative movement and invites International DJs. Otherwise Otros Tangos initiated the "tango flashes" which announce the festival and the Tango & History walks. OtrosTangos will renew the experience of the Nocturna, which had a resounding success in 2016! The principle is the following: during 30min or more, the room is plungled into total darkness; you can’t see anything, except the fluorescent bracelets... No tandas, no cortinas, the exchange of dance-partner is encouraged after each song. Thrills guaranteed!
