[CANCELLED WORKSHOP]
A full day devoted to Argentine folklore as music and dance, with four Argentine artists.
We invite you to discover Argentina's vast cultural repertoire through dance, percussion and singing.
In this intensive 5-hour workshop, we'll introduce you to the two most characteristic traditional Argentine dances and rhythms: the Chacarera and the Zamba. This will be a fun, practical workshop in which you'll learn to dance these dances and play their rhythms on the 'Bombo Legüero' (an instrument originally from Argentina and representative of north-western music).
The whole day will be taken up with live music.
• No special knowledge is required to take part.
• If you have your own instrument or a similar one, please bring it along. If not, you can bring a small plastic bucket, and we'll make you a pseudo-instrument on the spot so you can practise.
• Open to all.
