3 workshops to work on support, axis and energy with Pablo & Émilie Tegli.
We propose a progression in the work of connection, from exercises to practice, to :
• improve the quality of your support and propulsion
• strengthen your centre and balance
• vary the energy in the movement with tonicity.
Workshop 1 • 10.30am-12pm: The different types of enrosque
Enrosques are a technique of suspended pivots (centrifugal) that go hand in hand with giros (turns). The structure and rhythm of the turn, posture, timing, reference points in space, the active role, acceleration and slowing down are all aspects that we will look at in this class.
Workshop 2 • 1pm-2.30pm: Alteraciones and caminatas
Alterations, also known as changes of direction, make it possible to modify the pre-established order of steps, enriching the structure and dynamics of the dance. We will work on dissociation and spirals, flexibility and propulsion.
Workshop 3 • 14h30-16h: Variations
Variations are the fast parts of a tango, usually played towards the end of a piece, where the dancers express their technical and creative qualities. We'll give you the keys to improvising with rhythm and creating variations in harmony with the music, and study combinations of elements in a figure.
• Level: intermediate/advanced
• Maximum number of participants: 20 couples
• Solo registrations are possible, but we recommend that you register with a partner, as we will try to establish parity for the workshops as much as possible
• Classes will be given in French and may be translated into English, Spanish and Italian.
