4 workshops with Stef Lee to explore creativity with your dance partner!
Starting with the sensations of dimension and amplitude, to find the right place in the duet and on the dance floor. On the menu: circle, cylinder, sphere; how to create and arrange the spaces of the abrazo. Observe how the play of joints gently leads us towards roundness and circularity.
✦ Saturday June, 29th:
Workshop 1 • 2-3:15pm: Sharing a space, the sphere
Workshop 2 • 3:30-4:45pm: Playing in the round, with arms and legs!
Then, through playful, poetic or simply surprising constraints, tackle alternation, expectation and unison. Tango is a dance of dialogue, where we paradoxically seek to become one. How can I be both available and a force of proposition? How can I express my intentions and receive those of my partner? The key words will be listening and complicity! These workshops are about being present to yourself and your partner.
✦ Sunday June 30th:
Workshop 3 • 2-3:15pm: Sculpting a tango
Workshop 4 • 3:30-4:45pm: Being subtle, let's try?
• Level required: open to tango dancers with at least one year's tango experience • Equipment: soft clothing and slippery shoes (preferably without heels).
• Languages: French, English, Spanish
• Booking: It is not necessary to register as a couple, the roles of guide and guided will be tried out in turn and it will be suggested (but not imposed) that you change partners.
